WHAT ARE THE PLACES TO VISIT IN MARRAKECH?
1- Bahia Palace
Impossible to visit Marrakech without visiting the grand palace! The Bahia Palace is an eight-hectare palace in the 19th century, one of the masterpieces of Moroccan architecture and Islamic art. It is one of the country’s main cultural heritage monuments and one of Morocco’s main tourist attractions!
2- Marrakech palm grove
The Marrakech palm grove has more than 100,000 trees on approximately 15,000 hectares, mainly palm trees, jujube production and vegetable gardens. It is a well-known natural and tourist heritage in Morocco, if you want to visit Marrakech, you must do it. Additionally, you can explore this place by riding a camel or quad bike!
3- The Majorelle garden
The Majorelle Garden is one of Morocco’s most popular attractions! This place was created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, who spent almost 40 years completing his “work”. The garden contrasts sharply with the rest of the city, and at times it impressively evolves into a vivid oil painting. The colors of buildings and pottery are intertwined with exotic plants, giving people an addictive charm.
4- The Ourika valley

5- The Koutoubia mosque
The Koutoubia Mosque was built in the 12th century and is located in the center of the medina. With its 77 meter high minaret and its sober and elegant architecture, it is today considered a symbol of Marrakech. Its size is impressive and can accommodate up to 20,000 worshipers in the large prayer hall.
6- The Atlas Mountains
It is a spectacle to drive a few hours from Marrakech into the Ourika Valley, the high altitude atlas of Morocco. The temperature may drop, so please bring a few sweaters or coats and wear the best walking shoes. The path in the mountain is rocky, and you will cross the small bridge over the river in the mountain. The view from the mountain is superb and well worth a day trip.
7- Jemaa el-Fna Square
Jemaa el-Fna Square is the traditional place and nerve center of Marrakech, which attracts all adventurous travelers. Singers will meet snake charmers, dancers and fortune tellers…it definitely won’t cost you a penny!
8- Menara Gardens
If you want to escape the noise of the city, what to do in Marrakech? Between the swimming pool and the olive trees, you can relax in the Menara gardens. They are located in the Almoahades dynasty, about 45 minutes walk from Jemaa el-Fna square in central Marrakech.
HOW TO TRAVEL IN MARRAKECH?
1- The bus
Regular ALSA bus lines allow you to reach the city tens of kilometers from Marrakech. For longer distances, different providers offer trips to Essaouira, Safi, Agadir or Ouarzazate. Supr@tours and CTM are particularly effective. First of all depends on the ONCF, or SNCF. The bus station is located in Bab Doukkala and there are bus tickets in the lobby.
2- Taxis
When entering the taxi ranks (there are several, the main ranks are next to the Koutoubia of Sidi Mimoun and Bab Doukkala), taxis can be called by prior arrangement with the driver. So-called “collective” taxis provide regular connections to the cities of Marrakech. The transport conditions are a bit Spartan, because the taxi is shared with other passengers, you have to wait for the number of passengers before you can start.
3-Tourist transport
In a group of ten people or groups, you can take a minibus trip to find attractions. The service generally includes transportation, but also parking and visits to cooperatives.
