Straw LifeStraw Personal is the best of 2026 simply because it filters 99.99% of aquatic microorganisms from over 4000L of water before having to replace the filter elements. In addition, it is light and meets all the standards imposed for a reliable filter by international organizations. My opinion on straws with filters when traveling!
A filter straw is as necessary for hikers as it is for professional travelers who go to a place where water quality can be problematic. In fact, it is just as practical as a filter bottle, but without the additional weight of the water you carry. In some cases, the filter straw is placed in a container filled with water and the base of which has a hole the size of the suction end of the straw so that the filtered water that comes out is collected in another container. You can use it to cook your food and shower without risk.
